Transvaginal Uterus
Gynaecological (Female Pelvis) Ultrasound
Gynaecological ultrasound examinations are performed with a combination of transabdominal and transvaginal technique (with your consent) to maximise the diagnostic information obtained from the scan. We assess your uterus, endometrium (lining of the uterus) and your ovaries. We also assess the adnexae (the anatomical area in which the ovary is located) and the iliac fossae (the right and left sides of the pelvis).
A 3D ultrasound of your uterus provides additional information about the shape of your uterus and endometrium and can assist in investigation of infertility and recurrent miscarriage.

Transvaginal Ovary and Follicles
Follicle Tracking
A transvaginal scan of the uterus, endometrium and ovaries paying particular attention to uterine position, endometrial grade and the number and size of follicles on your ovaries. Follicle tracking is a simple form of assisted conception.

Breast Cyst
Breast Ultrasound
Breast ultrasound is performed to evaluate a palpable lump or region of pain in your breast. It is often performed as an adjunct to a mammogram or for patients too young for mammography (<40 years).
